Duodenal Atresia

A 28 weeks preterm baby weighing 1.2 Kg with duodenal atresia operated successfully. Preoperative Upper G I Contrast Study shows no passage of contrast beyond the first part of duodenum, whereas postoperative contrast study shows free passage of contrast into the small intestine and even reaching at the end of one hour. An end to side Duodeno-jejunostomy was done in this case.
