Prolapsed Patent VID

A case of prolapsed patent vitellointestinal duct in a 6 months old child. The child had a reddish mass protruding out of the umbilicus since the time of falling of umbilical stump with feculent discharge from the mass. A subumbilical mini-laparotomy with wedge resection of the Meckel's diverticulum and excision of the entire patent VID was done.
